The variance isn't the same, and the odds should reflect that, which isn't always the case. The algorithm adjusts its probabilities based on the format and identifies overvalued favorites in BO1 matches as well as undervalued underdogs in short series.

Meta, Patches, and Map Pool

In LoL and Dota 2, a patch can shake up the pecking order: a team whose playstyle aligns with the new meta gains value before its odds even shift. In CS2, it all starts with the veto: a match is often decided on two or three predictable maps, and per-map statistics matter more than the overall ranking. The algorithm tracks win rates by map and by patch to detect these shifts early on.

Rosters, stand-ins, and schedule

A player substituted at the last minute, a recent transfer who hasn’t yet found his rhythm, or a team playing back-to-back tournaments while dealing with jet lag: these factors weigh heavily, and the betting market often takes time to factor them in. The algorithm monitors roster stability, the presence of stand-ins, and the intensity of the schedule before approving a bet.
